Here are the results of the first ever first efforts image challenge. I asked you to find historical images of candidates voting, and you answered with a whole heap of great pictures. First, the awards (which, alas, come with no plaques or checks):
Award for oldest image overall to Christa, who submitted offline this 1892 Frank Leslie's cover image of Chester A. Arthur registering to vote in New York City:
Award for oldest photograph to Bengineer, who found this 1908 image of William Howard Taft, clearly blinded by exploding flash powder:
And the award for just plain creepiest image goes to Chris, who found this 1952 V-for-Victory pic of Dick and Pat Nixon, sans Checkers:
