This past weekend the Associated Press ran this great story on UGA rhetoric student Bethany Keeley's blog, The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks. Bethany's blog appeals to me on so many levels: it displays found images and text, it exposes bad writing, and it embodies the healthy practice of embracing one's pet peeves. Plus it's that perfect combination of smart and downright silly.
Unfortunately, the story also describes Bethany as a "communications" student. Now if she could just convince people to drop that darn s on communications...but that's probably for another blog.
Yeah, the S bothered me too, but I didn't see it until it had already gone out on the wire. The problem of phone interviews, I guess.
