Tonight I am taking myself on a date. I decided to splurge and get myself a rather pricey ticket to see one of my very favorite bands at this great venue. Somehow it feels like a fitting goodbye to Nashville to listen to Brazilian-Afro-Cuban-Japanese-Turkish-Russian jazz dance hall music performed with a symphony.
Update:
The show was fantastic, and those nice folks from Pink Martini even stayed around after to sign programs and CDs. All ten of them! Judging from my brief conversation with two of the percussion guys, they are enjoying Nashville quite a lot. Something about a 3 pm visit to a honky tonk and two-for-one beers...
And yes, that inscription does read "for Cara with love."
Like I said: date night.
Hey, old-timers music with understandable lyrics! Pee-paw should love it. Have a great time.

I'm glad it was worth it. I played the links for Molly and I think you have a new convert.

Sounds like fun! I have one of their albums and it's great.
