August analogies

It's August, when presidential families leave the White House for a little R&R. When I came across the top photo of the Obamas, taken on August 1st, it immediately brought to mind this much more famous (and famously loaded) image from August 1998. Coincidentally, the Clinton photo was made by none other than Pete Souza, the current White House photographer. Despite the Clintonian handholding, my bet is that the Obama family is much, much, happier. Except for Bo the dog, who apparently is being left behind.
