This is the result of the Air Force One flyover flap. What do you think? Was it worth the $328,835 of taxpayer money, one job, and deep anxiety among millions of New Yorkers it took to make it?

This whole flap (excuse the aviation related pun) is much ado about nothing. The money was going to be spent regardless, whether it was flying over NY or doing circles out in the ocean. If the Pres had been aboard this wouldn't even be a story. I don't think notifying the general public of every move of a VC-25A is necessary or even a good idea. As for New Yorkers, they need to get over it. Living in fear is precisely the result the Taliban wanted.
