On this day in 1820, Susan B. Anthony was born in Adams, Massachusetts. The occasion of her birthday seems reason enough to go here and read this. Despite the way it visualizes the gendered stereotype of the nagging woman, I love this cartoon. First of all, Aunt Susan is running fast and even in that dress you know she'll overtake the Fat Cat any minute. And then there's the matter of Uncle Sam in the background. Who exactly is he cheering for? Or is he just enjoying the fight?
