I heard back from Nancy today. Here's what she told me about her grandparents:
"I am so happy to tell you about my Grandfather and Grandmother: Scott Marshall Ramsey and Lillie Otto (Weatherman) Ramsey. They came from Springfield, Missouri in 1935 to the San Joaquin Valley, in search of work. They had 3 sons and a daughter. My dad was the baby, Roy Ramsey, born in 1923. He was in the backseat when Dorothea Lange asked to take the photo (he remembers the incident, mostly because Lillie did not want her photo taken, and she was upset because she was embarassed how she and her family looked). Scott and Lillie settled in Thorton CA, and remained there until their death. He worked in the Thorton Canning Company. All three sons served in WWII. And all the children stayed in California."
Lillie and Scott Ramsey were my husband's,(Scott Stokoe) grandparents. We were excited to see that Nancy got in touch with you. We would love to get in touch with Nancy. Would it be possible for you to get in touch with her and send her our email address? That would be great! Thank you for your time and consideration.
